Best location, directly across from Essen Central Station. Excellent breakfast bar and clean rooms with crisp white linens. Novum has done a good job keeping up a hotel I first visited more than 40 years ago.

Amazing stay rooms were so clean and comfortable, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the area maybe because I didn’t explore as much but other than that this was a great clean and safe feeling hotel I would definitely stay here again

Staff were so helpful and polite. Very clean hotel. Bar staff were also very nice. Super convenient being close to the train station. Cute shops in the area / lots of options for food / cafe’s etc.

Had a brilliant stay at Select Hotel in Essen. The hotel is perfectly located opposite the main station. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. For the money paid I was extremely impressed and would definitely return

We had a wonderful two night stay. I was traveling my 12 year old daughter and it could not have been more conveniently located. Directly opposite the main station in Essen. Located in a lovely restaurants and shopping area. Rooms was modern, spacious, and super clean. Felt very safe.

Bad and confusing Reservation system

My confirmation was not found at Check-In, even giving your staff my reservation. After going into other system they found it but price without Breakfast, but in your confirmation in the e-mail showed room+bfst included.Since it was cleared, the staff assured me that all will be OK with rgd to bfst. Upon checking-out, I was again asked to pay for Bfst. I protestd and agn showed your staff the e-mail confirmation.

Used to be a classy hotel, room was fine and air conditioning worked. However, no WiFi coverage in the room. Only area which had it was the hallways near the elevator and most public areas; had to get an E-Sim and use a hotspot to have internet.
