"This was my/our first trip to the Caribbean, and this hotel did NOT disappoint! The rooms were beautiful and clean with an amazing view. The staff (Doug) was beyond nice, very helpful, and a pleasure to interact with! If we ever return to St. Croix, this will be where we stay!"
"This is it! The room is fantastic! If you love a great oceanic view with the soothing sounds of the ocean crashing against the rocks. This is it! The location is a bit secluded from the local towns buttt still within 20/30 min reach and believe me if you’re going for the views, there’s no need to leave the area. Great restaurant (AMA) on property and a few local spots a short walk away. Literally a 4 minute walk from the beach (Cane Bay). If you’re double minded… just pick this one."
"This is a unique property with a lovely access to the best beach ever! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The room is spacious and all utilities worked perfectly. I loved that it is non frills and at the same time well thought out in terms of comfort.
Will certainly recommend and return!"
"My wife and I recently enjoyed our first visit to St. Croix. It is a fascinating island with so much rich history; we made sure to explore the sights at Fort Frederik and Christiansted, and took in the beautiful views at Point Udall.
The Buccaneer Resort is a lovely property, and overall, we had a good stay. The atmosphere is very quiet, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the drinks at the beach were fantastic. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.
However, there were a few areas where our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. During our dinner at The Terrace, we found the staff to be quite slow and inattentive, even during a slower period. Regarding our accommodations, while the room was generally fine, the beds were quite firm, making it a bit difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, we were disappointed that the air conditioning stopped working entirely on our final night.
While we enjoyed the beauty of the resort and the island, we hope these service and maintenance issues can be addressed for future guests."
