This was a great find. Welcome very friendly, accommodation comfortable and clean. The setting was lovely, garden and surroundings were beautiful. The hosts were very respectful and kind - and I wish them well with their future plans.

Stunning B&B

Wow, what a gorgeous find. Absolutely stunning decor and style in this B&B - so much to look at and styled so nice. Stunning grounds which was lovely for breakfast in the sunshine or an afternoon drink. Fabulous service, always on hand to help with whatever was needed and always with a smile! Gorgeous breakfast, literally catered for whatever you wanted - nothing was too much trouble. A great stay, great service and a great location. Just perfect!

There's nothing I can add...

What can I add that hadn't already been written? Such a comfortable and warm reception, beautiful surroundings, quiet, peaceful, chickens and ducks and inquisitive dogs, an absolute joy to stay here. One thing I did miss.. their famous cooked breakfast😶 Due to current times the cooked breakfast wasn't being served, but what a delicious continental serving we had. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

lovely B and B in the countryside

Lovely bed and breakfast hidden in the countryside. Our room was very nice and the grounds were fabulous. Only continental breakfast in your room due to COVID. Quite difficult to eat out at the moment as many places only doing take away food. Owners very helpful, overall a very nice stay. Easy access to many national trust gardens etc and Hastings is not too far .

Stunning property in quiet location

Had an issue with confirming the booking on the day but that was partly Hotels.com's fault. However, when we arrived we were looked after in the most hospitable way. We stayed in one of the rooms within the owner's home. Normally I would be a little uneasy about such an arrangement but we were both pleasantly surprised by his endearing character. An charming host without being intrusive and would certainly recommend this property.

Lovely place and setting and very gracious and accomodating hosts. Upon our suggestion, they ordered luggage racks so guests would not have to place suitcases on the floor. One small suggestion is to have more empty horizontal space available in the room and in the bathroom. We had the Delft room which was decorated in blue and white porcelain and had a separate entrance which was wonderful. Also, please let guests know how to use the complicated shower ahead of time. These are small quibbles, we would highly recommend this place. Breakfast eggs were from the resident hens and were delicious!

Location was really good for visiting the gardens we wanted to visit. Bed was really comfortable & fresh eggs daily from their chickens was a treat. Friendly dogs, ducks on the pond, chickens & themed decor makes this a unique place to stay. We were made very welcome.

The surrounding was simply amazing and the host was extremely hospitable! Everything about our stay was relaxing and I thoroughly recommend to anyone that wants to get away from life for a while.

We received an excellent welcome and all our needs were well cared for in this beautiful property in a beautiful spot. I don't recall the description mentioning the owners' dogs which wasn't a problem for us - but might have been for someone with a fear or allergy - so it would be good to make sure that is clear in the listing.

A blissful weekend in East Sussex.

A fantastic 2 night weekend stay in this beautiful house, sitting in its own stunning grounds. The owners are lovely, the breakfast excellent - a very high standard indeed and very good value. Lots of help on hand for good eats nearby in a great location for visiting the wealth of historic gardens, towns & castles in the vicinity. ~As well as very well run and friendly accommodation the immediate location is beautiful. Can't recommend it highly enough. Best weekend treat I've had in a very long time.

Beautiful stay in a tranquil location

Jolyon is an excellent host, friendly and inviting and has an amazing setup at their home with 3 lovely dogs! A cracking breakfast and an in-house self-serve bar is a great touch to return to after a day out. Highly recommended and thanks for making us feel at home.
