"We stayed here in the off season. The staff were pleasant and the hotel very nice. The dining room was available for a very good meal in the evening and a breakfast in the morning complete with eggs prepared fresh for us. Literally in the parking lot for the castle-impossible to stay any closer unless you are part of Bavarian royalty (and even then you probably couldn't stay any closer)!"

"Beautiful older hotel- very well kept. Great view of the mountains from our balcony. Sat there relaxing enjoying a beer! Staff and breakfast were wonderful. Close walk to train station and Zugspitze Bahn. Has a pool sauna and steam room but we just stayed 2 nights so no time to use them but they looked excellent. We plan to come back next year and stay longer. We highly recommend Wittelsbacher Hof"
