"I wish there was a pool, but there is a gym, 3 dining options: fa rooftop bar, a bar/restaurant, and a cafe, and several other
great things about this space. It was built in 1887 and actually used to be a brothel in the late 1800s to my understanding.
The reason I did not give 5 stars for service was because I was struggling with my bags at the door and the bellhop was standing there on his phone not paying attention. I had to ask him if there was a button to push to open the doors. He did eventually hold the door for me, though.
This is the first time I have stayed in this hotel, although I have spent several visits on the rooftop bar or just hanging out in the lobby with my puppy, working on Art. My mom and I stayed here after returning from a 4 day cruise to Cozumel. We loved the hardwood floors, the high ceilings, the large flatscreen tv. The only small complaint I have is that we were unable to login to our streaming accounts from the TV or chromecast it from my phone. The gentleman at the front desk spent about 30 minutes trying to fix it. It worked for a little bit, but then froze up. He did put in a work order to get it fixed the next day. The cafe workers were so friendly and complimentary. Also, since I have visited the public areas so many times with my white Husky named Jasper, everyone at the hotel knows us. When we come back, the bellhop usually holds the door and says, “Welcome Back!”. "
