"Genuinely exceptional stay. The staff are friendly, attentive, and quietly professional, always present without ever being intrusive. The owner is visible throughout the day and in the restaurant every evening, making sure guests are comfortable and everything runs perfectly. The entire place is spotless: immaculate uniforms, tidy bar, calm atmosphere, and a real sense of pride in the work. My room faced the main seafront road into Essaouira from Diabat, yet I didn’t hear a single trace of traffic noise, a remarkable level of peace and soundproofing. The location is a little out of the way, but that’s an advantage: it’s quieter, more relaxed, and only an 8 MAD taxi ride to the Medina. The pool area and restaurant are spotless, and the food is excellent. For the standard of service and comfort provided, you’d easily pay double or more in the UK. Outstanding value, beautifully run, and genuinely one of the best stays I’ve had anywhere. Highly recommended. "

"This was an amazing stay Jamal and his wife go all out to give guests a great experience- nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is huge with a big selection of different items. The pool was an added bonus. The lady who cooks (sorry I don’t recall her name) is friendly and helpful as well as a good cook! It’s a few miles/kilometres out of Essaouira so a car is probably preferable but if you want a fab place to stay that is peaceful, calm and clean then this is the place for you! I will certainly return there if I visit Essaouira again. I just enjoyed chilling out by the pool and popping into Essaouira late afternoon/early evening. If I had one tiny criticism it’s about the coffee- I drink loads every day and if they’d invest in a proper coffee machine that would be an 11/10! However the fantastic Tea Royal more than made up for the lack of coffee machine! Merci Beaucoup. A la prochaine! "

"Charming property with a good pool. Rooms were spacious and we had a good view. The surrounding area is essentially desert and the free shuttle or a car are essential."

"The hotel was not good. The towels were shockingly old, the pillows REALLY old and the rooms uncomfortable. The whole stay was uncomfortable and shockingly bad for the price they were charging. The service was incredible. Mohammed was amazing. But I feel the owners of Villa Daba whom we never saw must be overcharging and letting the hotel go into disarray. The conditions of the room were shockingly old. I've never in my life seen pillows like this, or towels this old. If you're charging this much and insisting on cash payment, you must provide items not from decades ago. Also, it's not Essaouira. It's deceiving. Everywhere it says Villa Daba Essaouira. But it's 15 min from Essaouira. There is nothing close. Nothing. And the villa only offers a breakfast and that's it. The rooms are really hot and became insufferable at night, you can't open windows, no screens and lots of bugs. Tourist trap. We got a really bad rash from the pool and shower gel. Avoid."

"The hotel is very big with lots of facilities . The only thing is that service is quite slow and facilities like sauna and steam are only started when you are physically there . Therefore cannot be enjoyed fully as it takes time to heat up"

"Peaceful and fun weekend with girls in a beautiful oasis. Very mixed clientele; lots of couples, girl groups, families, all ages. Having adults Vs family pool areas also worked very well."
