Insignia Hotel Brooklyn, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The food was okay. Parking was good and felt safe. Friendly staff. Location was perfect for our event at the Basilica of OLPH. "
"Parking was good. Pool was closed for maintenance. No phones in room to call front desk for house keeping. Ice machine is outside near the pool. Mini fridge didn’t work. Beautiful views. Coffee was free but food you had to purchase. All Staff are young and should be retrained on what the number guests should call if there are any insures. Front desk was empty majority of the day with a sign stations call Lindsay and a number. House keeping comes in at 9am and will open the door if you don’t answer on the fifth time cause you’re sleeping. Not much amenities provided. Views are immaculate and surrounding area has good food and people. Hotel staff just need to be retrained and be more professional and know answers to basic questions. A phone would in all rooms and ice machines on every floor would be great. 7/10"
"Everything from hotel staff, to amenities to location was phenomenal.
My husband and I celebrated my birthday weekend here and it was a beautiful and relaxing weekend.
The building is split between the hotel and residences. The floor for all hotel amenities and rooms is the 4th floor. Here is where the indoor bar, lounge, and outdoor pool and bar area is located.
The hotel is kept very clean with lots of attentive staff!
The outdoor patio and pool area was absolutely beautiful with lots of room for lunch, and a variety of comfy lounging options.
The hotel embraced modern coastal vibes and had lots of live music options in the lounge area and at the outdoor patio.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable! There were lots of in-room amenities provided including hair dryer, espresso machine, safe, fridge, desk, slippers/robe, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, etc. if you needed a steamer or iron and ironing board, just call the front desk.
We had a partial ocean view on the south side of the building and that was beautiful. We had a view of the Stone Pony and was able to sit out on the balcony for the outdoor concerts to listen to the music.
The north side of the building faces a large construction zone - I would ask to NOT be on that side of the building.
Locations— the hotel was located just across the street from the boardwalk and ocean. Also, within walking distance to great restaurants.
Downtown area is about a 20 minute walk."
"Get coffee somewhere else the cafe coffee is horrendous, the Asian place had no sushi when we went which was bizarre so ended up leaving and going elsewhere. If you have young kids it's a great area. if you're an adult looking for more adult venues stay somewhere else."
"The room I originally checked into had trash in it, and reeked of marijuana, like someone just left before I arrived. In between bed n floor looked nasty
upon check in, no one told me of anything like is breakfast or coffee available and i was spending 2 nights. Dogs barking loud off and on
I am never coming back to this location or booking at Sonesta again !!!!"
