Noisy sleepless night.
We expected Rukmapur Park to be a quiet, get-away-from-it-all experience in the peaceful serenity of Vedic City. However, our experience was the opposite. The place was cute and clean and wonderfully "in the middle of nowhere," but we left the next morning frustrated and exhausted. At 3 am we woke up to someone either sliding a door open and closed or rolling a cart down the hallway above us. There was a very loud repetitive sound that went on and on. When we finally fell asleep we had the rudest jolt awake from a fire alarm that not only blared noise, but also flashed piercing strobe lights that had us fly out of bed to make sure the building wasn't on fire. It wasn't and a couple minutes later the alarm went off. We tried to settle down and fall back to sleep, but at 4:30 a.m. we started hearing doors opening and closing like someone was starting their daily functions. Suffice it to say we did not get sleep that night. We paid to get a good night's sleep, we got no sleep and loads of rude interruptions for hours.

Good morning, we are sorry to hear that this was your first experience at our hotel. I can assure you that this is not the norm. We of course received a number of complaints from a tenant that had set off their fire alarm, and this situation has been rectified. I would like to apologize again that this was your experience with us, but we look forward to you coming back and giving us a second chance some time. You can also feel free to email or call the office phone when neighbors are causing noise issues, that way we can assist you by getting ahold of the tenants. I am afraid we cannot do anything to help if you do not reach out to us when these issues arise. Thank you.

Rooms were very nice. Just wish the outside would be more inviting so we could have enjoyed it as well. Overgrown brush and no chairs.

It’s a very rural and quiet hotel. We seldom saw others as many rooms have separate entrances. We stayed in a suite that was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The only downside was lack of dish detergent for washing dishes. We were told we could get some at a Walmart 20 minutes away.

It was very quiet and peaceful. There was some signs of the exterior of the building needing some repair, however. The microwave didn’t function, and the window blind opening turn adjustment stick was broken. So there were a few things that needed to be msinained.

Iowa's best kept secret
Quiet, Remote, Great place to recharge one's batteries. wifi works it the rooms (13mbps) Small library with good selection of books. 7 miles from Fairfield with a great selection of restaurants. Perfect to get work and thinking done away from the outside would.

We shared a room, 4 people total, but only enough towels for 2...no one was at front desk to help get more towels. Service at front desk is only available during the week, not weekends. My mom and dad stayed on the first floor and they only had one toilet paper roll. Disappointed with the supplies provided, especially when there was no one there to ask for assistance.
