"We stayed three nights at Aldeia de Cuada in mid-October. The atmosphere and vibe of this restored old village is calm and exactly what we wanted. The valley surrounding the village is full of lush vegetation and waterfalls and was a great home base to visit Flores. For $10 Euros/morning you can start the day off with the best breakfast and go exploring. Their pool is heated, you can take old trails to surrounding villages and the must see Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro is right around the corner. We booked our time on Flores based on their available dates and are so glad we did. "
"The island is lovely with lovely staff however the accomodation is in serious need of upgrade all rooms shown to us were damp mouldy with sparse furniture also containing mould "
