"We had a lovely stay! People are very nice, rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Good central location with river views. Restaurant had good live music and we enjoyed our burger and flatbread!"
"The owner is very demanding and will yell at you from the porch until you come over and scratch him behind the ears. Oh and the bed was pretty comfy."

"While the rooms are a bit small (15 X 12 estimate) the room is laid out very efficiently and effectively.
With the focus on efficiency and practicality, while there is a main office, if you arrive after hours, you will texted or can call the posted number to get the 4 digit door code to enter your room. No long check in process, if you paid for your room, since it is a Motel, you can pull right up outside your rented room, and with a door code, get right in and unload.
There is a convenient dorm size mini-refrigerator, a small desk with two nice chairs, ample lighting that is easily accessible. Very effective and quiet Mini-Split A/C and heating unit gets the room to a comfortable temperate very quickly.
Multiple outlets with easy access in the room. Nice sized wall mounted TV with remote and free W-Fi.
Small standup shower, toilet and vanity in the bathroom, again, small but functional and efficient use of space.
The room had recently been remodeled, so all the flooring, walls and trim were modern and up to date.
Room service comes once a day and will replace towels and empty your trash and do the basic tidy up.
Without a standard motel/hotel check in area, they do not offer coffee or breakfast. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance and driving distance of a minute or two, as this motel is on one of the main business areas in the downtown area.
The only other downside is, there is a train track right across the street, and it does go by often"

5/5 Excellent
"Nice place with nice views. Comfy bed. Everything works. The trains going by and blasting their horns makes for an early morning.
A bizarre thing we discovered when we got here is that all the restaurants in the area are cash only. No credit cards. Even many restaurants across the river in Prairie du Chein had a cash only notice posted on their doors."
