Brilliant place and staff!

This hotel was one of the best I’ve stayed in. Beautiful jr suite, spotless, staff genuinely wanted to help and were friendly. Value for money was amazing as we stayed on a Sunday and Monday.

Disappointing Cleanliness and Bathroom accessories

Room was in a small cottage 5 mins outdoor walk from Reception - had to park near reception. Dust on light fittings Hair grips from previous occupier strewn across floor near bed. Empty Shower Gel container 1 Hand and 1 Bath Towel for 2 people. Restaurant closed at 8PM on a Friday evening Will never stay here again

Beautiful countryside

Whilst the hotel looks a little tired from the outside, the reception, bar & restaurant looked lovely and there was a nice atmosphere. The hotel had an event so was very busy, but the staff were attentive albeit under a bit of pressure but were efficient & friendly. The room was spacious & comfortable- it was in a little bungalow away from the main hotel.

Quiet and comfortable overnight stay. Excellent service. The novel accomodation is roomy but starting to show signs of it's age. Excellent breakfast. Nice ground's over looking fields . Overall VFM .

Lovely hotel

I didn't spend long there as it was an overnight stay for a wedding nearby. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was nice and quiet so I was able to get a good sleep. It was perfect for what I needed. The breakfast was lovely too and the staff members were all very friendly.

I had a call from reception checking we had eaten as the kitchen would probably be closed on our arrival (approx 20:30) which was helpful as a heads up. Breakfast was good. Overall the Hotel was adequate for our overnight stay, all the staff seemed helpful & polite.

The room booked was a deluxe suite away from the main hotel. On arrival, the receptionist struggled to find our booking but after showing the email confirmation, an arrival form was located under an incorrect spelling of our surname. The suite was spacious, well appointed and tastefully decorated. The staff in the dining room were helpful but a little slow in bringing drinks to the table. The evening meal was well cooked and presented. The breakfast was buffet style with an excellent selection of fresh fruit, cereals, hot food and preserves for your toast. All in all a good stay.

Really good

I turned up exhausted after 11pm after driving from Aberdeen and place was closed. Bit of a shock as i thought it was a hotel chain 24/7. However. There was a number to call and someone turned up fairly quickly to let me in. Room was beautiful. Wish id got there sooner so i could have used it more. Will try again.

A very pleasant stay indeed. Recommended!

The reception staff were very friendly when I arrived, with a new receptionist (it was her 1st day), who was being trained. They were very helpful and explained the details of my stay, including where and how to get to my room. The room itself was absolutely wonderful. It felt more like an apartment than a room, with a reception area (tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge), a large bathroom with a seperate bath and shower, and a large living area and bedroom area with King size bed. I felt truly spoilt. The restaurant staff were lovely also and nothing was too much trouble. There was another new employee in the bar area on my second night, who did very well, even though he looked very nervous!

The whole place just needed a bit of a spruce up. Shutters on our 'cottage' were hanging off. Loads of cobwebs in the room. Floor didnt look as though it had been vacuumed. Very noisy fridge whuch i unplugged and water tank that woke me at 4am. Thin walls so i heard next door arguing and their TV. Dressing gowns which was great, unfortunately they were damp. Pluses. Bathroom was modern, bed comfortable and a good breakfast with lots of choice.

This hotel is part of the Best Western Sure Collection. I have stayed here several times before and not been disappointed. I am delighted to say that this stay was no different but actually exceeded expectations. The staff on reception were so friendly and welcoming. I booked in for an evening meal. My room was around the back where there was additional parking in from of the lodge. My room was a suite with a proper full size, king size bed. There were welcome gifts on hand and the whole room was laid out wonderfully with two desks, a settee, coffee table and chaise longue. There was a fridge which was very convenient. The bathroom was of a high standard with a shower that worked very well. The evening meal was adequate followed by a fantastic night's sleep and a well-cooked breakfast to start the day off right. My stay cost just over £100 which represented amazing value for money.

Booked a superior none pet room got a small double complained said it’s because I requested none pet room can’t down grade because of that must have superior none pet rooms should have been allocated wen booked . Luckily they moved us but were reluctant.
