I would describe this as a house boat pitched on a mini great barrier reef - with your own private sea view. They have two type of accommodation in this Island. I'm staying at Kaani Village and Spa. The accommodation is very clean, conducive and peaceful with friendly, approachable staff that will always be there to assist you in meeting your needs and requirements. This accommodation is well furnished with small poll enough for you to deep and cool yourself after a long day at the beach. Food was presentable and acceptable for Asian taste.

My husband and I loved everything about our 6d5n in Anantara Veli. We've rated it 8/10, and 1 points went to the rooms that can have some face lifting and another 1 point is that the attitude of the staff at the aqua centre can be improved alot more. Stayed 2 nights experience with Crystal Sands was awesome. Arrived Male city to Maafushi, we travelled by speedboat. Per boat is US185. Four of us shared, 20-30mins we have arrived. Due to arrival date, we couldn't join the snorkeling package etc as it started at 10am. Happened that my friend said she would like to travel to Adaaran Club Rannakhi. They are fast enough to arrange speedboat and called Adaaran that we will be going over there. Per pax is US70 including speedboat. Payment...

Overall a great stay. Family Room is spacious. Didn't use the balcony much as it's facing the hotel interior. Although breakfast is not always hot, they make efforts to change main course daily. Ali who brought us on a snorkeling trip is professional & super friendly. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived at the airport, having the airport lounge is very impressive considering it is only among the handful of resorts who has this facility. The resort is very beautiful and all the staff we met were very friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant staff and also all the other staff working tirelessly around the island. The over water villa we stayed in is very spacious and well designed with good space for the outdoor deck and a gorgeous tub in the restroom....

Fantastic stay at Kaani Beach Hotel. The staff (Tiger, Kadir, Ammex, and the team) were hospitable and warm - they treated us like family! The people of Maafushi are the friendliest in the world. We had this guy called Kefu call us over just to show us baby sharks swimming by the beach. On one of the streets is an incredibly talented painter, Afu, who makes wonderful paintings.
