"Weโ€™re walking the Herefordshire Trail and stayed here for one night. I was a good choice. A lovely welcome. We had a room which was clean and comfortable with plenty of room to walk around. Food in the evening was good, with a good menu choice. Breakfast was excellent a good menu to choose from. All the staff were great. We would stay again if in Kington"

"Lovely modern room in a quiet village very close to the Four Waterfalls Walk. The room was modern and clean and the super king size bed very comfy! We had the room with the freestanding bath (bubbles supplied!) and there were plenty of towels. The air con/heating was fast and easy to control and there were modern light switches everywhere to find the right lighting. The large TV came out on an arm so you could see it from the bed and had some apps on it which allowed us to watch a film (although it did buffer a few times) kettle and water supplied in room but no fridge facility although the pub was happy to give us an ice bucket and glasses. The bathroom was modern and clean but the door was a bit stiff so you really had to yank it shut. Plenty of storage facilities in the room if you were staying for more than one night. The pub next door was delicious for both breakfast and dinner and very reasonably priced. Warm cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. Would go back if visiting the area again! Thank you"

"We were delighted to find we were staying in a stately home worthy of Downton Abbey. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Wonderful spaces for the guest with fireplaces and comfortable chairs in beautifully coordinated fabrics, as you'd expect from the previous home of Laura Ashleys family, (although subtley not massively floral). The restaurent was lovely and the food superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and views over the Brecon Beacons was lovely, with lots of pubs nearby, and other restaurents in nearby Brecon. Our room had a confortable 4 poster bed and lovely ensuite with a seperate shower and Bath, and a great view. It was one floor up and the stairs were wide and not steep so I managed with my stick. We were able to park right out the front door in the big turning circle. Overall it could not have been better!"

"The Hotel is nice if a little bit dated in places. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was nice and good value and it is in a great location for exploring the town and the Brecon Beacons national park. We paid ยฃ47 for a Sunday night which was exceptional value. At this price, you can overlook the hotel being a little tired in places."
