"Beautiful property! Well situated in the old quarter, near the main mercado and close to many restaurants and bars. Very well decorated with all new furniture and appliances. The staff is very responsive. The only downside was that our room had an intermittent knocking in the ceiling day and night that went on for days."

"I chose this hotel because it was very close to the station in Oviedo as I knew I would be leaving very early on the last day of my stay; in fact there is a direct short cut into the station directly opposite the hotel which was a bonus. The hotel felt secure, the staff were helpful, the room although basic was very clean, and the breakfast was good. "Marina was a fantastic host. The apartment is perfect for a couple. The flat and communal areas were super clean. Marina responded immediately to all requests, but to be honest there was little reason for any contact. Check-in was very easy, car at the door, and the entry code was simple. The apartment is very central with car parks, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets on the door step. We had a great time."

"Hotel Fruela is in a great location, providing a good base for exploring the locality. Oviedo has an abundance of history and is covered by Michael Portillo on his Tours Round Spain on Channel 5, British TV. Worth a look if your thinking of going to this area (Asturias) of Spain. We booked through Expedia, who got us in on the dates we wanted at a very good price. Nothing to criticise, just compliment a very good basic hotel, good beds, showers and clean. "
