"My husband and l are from the USA and stayed for one week in February 2026 in a room with a king size bed and ocean views. I was very nervous about going to a remote island with no chain hotels or known car rental agencies. The island businesses are completely run by locals using whatsapp. Mar em Mim had only 12 reviews at the time l made the reservation, so it was kinda risky, but l it had everything l wanted. I was so pleasantly surprised. The pousada (bed & breakfast) was exactly as pictured...

"Everything was great. From the hosts Douglas and his mother were amazing. Perfect location. Everything is walkable or 10 minutes by buggy. "Amazing place, they take care of everything for you, from picking you up from the airport, to booking trips, negotiating prices, moving your luggage and more. Breakfast is one of the best I have tried, better than most 5 stars in Europe, they plant their own food so it's all organic and fresh, with fresh juices, cake, croissants and a cooked a la carte menu include too. Rooms were clean and confortable, felt like home. You just try the restaurant, we were meant to eat there once or twice but ended up eating there a lot more because it was the best island. The staff was so kind a special thanks to Cintia, Marcela, Alyson and Higor. "
