"The hotel was in a convenient location easily accessible to the train station and bus access. Grocery, restaurants and shopping were within easy walking distance and Grindelwald First Gondola was less than 1/2 a mile away. The staff were friendly and the daily breakfast was fresh and yummy! The rooms are somewhat dated with very small bathrooms but clean and functioning. Would stay again."

"Conveniently located directly across from the train station. Beautiful traditional hotel with a wonderful staff. Some of the amenities were closed during our stay for refurbishing but otherwise we loved it. The beds were good, breakfast was ok but not quite as good as we've had elsewhere in the region. Best of all are the mountain views and the Lauterbrunnen valley below! The views are stunning. We could have sat our on our balcony all day. It's also right in town (Wengen) and close to everything. We would stay there again if we ever return."

I adored the historic charm that made this place so special from the quaint and comfortable rooms (with an actual skeleton key), to the old music that greets you in the parlor to the idyllic ivy-filled, tree covered outdoor garden to Charlie the beautiful Samoyed hotel pet, this hotel was a brilliant home away from home. I'm so glad I discovered it, and now there's no other place I will stay when I'm in in Wengen."
