"What a gem, really enjoyed staying at The West End Flats. Our apartment was great, large bathroom, high end kitchen, We didn't need them but full-size washer/dryer was in the unit. AFOG onsite is wonderful, we picked up a brew each night and played corn hole in their back yard. "

"Starting with staff. They tried. We didn't see information that the suite we reserved was on 2nd floor and only accessible by stairway which made carrying two suitcases and ice chest quite difficult and my wife had knee problems and made going up and down steep stairs difficult. The major issue was electrical outlets in suite were dangerous. As the room did not have an alarm clock we brought our own and when we first plugged it in and then went to check in desk to see if someone could show us how to operate tv remote that had no instructions when we came back to room we smelled a burning smell and our our alarm clock overheated and turned into a paperweight. We were then unwilling to plug in our laptop as the damage could have been catastrophic. The helper who came to show us how to use the tv could not get it to work and later we figured out how to access 8 tv stations that were over the air stations and no cable stations would work, so we read in bed with lamps that had cords stretched to their limits so it was uncomfortable to say the least. Balcony did not open. Plus side bed was comfortable and we were serenaded by frogs out side the room until we finally adjusted to their croaking. Coffee in morning was warm. Mngment needs to be more in tune with deficient issues that need to be addressed. $140 for one night stay at this facility was not worth it. Only reason we picked this place was picture of two door mini frig that had separate freezer area to keep our items cold"
"The hotel is pretty rundown and in need of an upgrade. The desk chair in my room was filthy and stained. The shower continued to drip and could not be shut off properly. Whoever painted the place didn’t stay in between the lines too well either, especially on the room doors. Hotel conditions aside, breakfast was good and the staff was friendly."
Hotel Roanoke & Conference Ctr, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Love this hotel! The only down-side about our room was the bathroom. We were in room 239 and the room was nice and large and then we walked into the bathroom. The door just missed hitting the toilet. Beautifully appointed but absolutely no room. Extremely disappointing. "
"Fine stay when in Roanoke. Hotel is easily accessible from the airport and the staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is standard, but room is spacious and has anything you would need for a short stay. Parking is also easy and plentiful. "
"Should have been made aware that the entire lobby area was under deep renovation. Breakfast in meeting room. Room was next the elevator - noisy! Room so small. Shower and toilet so close. Least favorite hotel rom design ever! Not worth $265 - !!!"
"The staff is phenomenal. They definitely put customer service ahead of everything else. The property is very clean and well maintained. The room we stayed in was updated and very well appointed. Everything worked as we expected.
Plenty of fast food places close by, and more if you don’t mind driving to the other side of Troutville. There is a DG close by, and a Walmart across town (close). We ate at the Cracker Barrel near the hotel and it was very good.
Please note: if you are staying for a short time, ask for housekeeping at the front desk. Not a big deal post COVID but just be aware. If you have a longer stay, they hit your room on the third day automatically.
All things considered, I would absolutely recommend this Comfort Inn. 10/10"
