"Fun place, but we had an immediate problem with the bathroom door. The owner did respond and was helpful and pleasant, but it took some time to locate them.
Comfortable bed, good fridge and kettle available."

"Very helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay.
Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful.
Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub.
Only downside, studio was small."

"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"Best location! Loved it here.
Perhaps tho for guests staying longer, we had a week, more kitchen items and sharper knives would be a great addition.
Highly recommend no.5"

"Village location in the yorkshire dales. Parking available but not guaranteed immediately outside of the apartment. Simple kitchen, but good enough to make meals. Comfy beds (2 doubles), good bathroom and living area (also has a sofa bed). Perfect for a weekend away to explore the local area. Would stay again."

"We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again."

"We booked a room at The Fox Hall at the very last minute, as we are attending a wedding nearby the next day. It was really just for convenience and we weren't that bothered about exactly where we stayed. That said, what an absolute gem The Fox Hall is! From a very friendly greeting, a delightful room and an excellent supper, we feel very lucky to have stumbled across it and we're planning to return (intentionally!) soon! "
" Staff great service great parking good food very good plenty of choice food & drinks Stopped before still very good our room was ready for a refurb but still nice & big"
"Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Excellent value for money. There is a car park however it is small and tight. We parked in DL1 about a 10 minute walk. Not a problem to us. Standard room has everything and decent size. We will use this hotel again. "
"Great location, our room was massive, if i had to pick a fault, the shower cubicle could be a big bigger, theres wasnt much room to move in it. Certainly wouldnt stop us from returning though. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of chouce on the menu. Free secure parking at back of the hotel. "
"Wow! What a hotel, from the moment we arrived at the hotel to when we left, everything was superb.
The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much for them, greeting you at the door and collecting your luggage, parking your car, a hello and a smile from everyone you met.
Our room was excellent, large comfy bed, lovely bathroom with a loo that lifted its own lid and had a heated seat, which my wife thought was wonderful!
The restaurant we had dinner in, Fletchers, was excellent. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. Breakfast again was excellent, all local produce cooked to perfection.
We had an afternoon in the Spa which was great, well equipped with pools, saunas, Jacuzzi and even a snow room for the brave! For a treat we enjoyed a full body massage each from two well trained masseur’s which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The grounds of the hotel are beautifully manicured and clean with plenty of room for a walk among the 30 acres of grounds.
This is a hotel we will definitely return too in the future."
