"Beautiful location overlooking the Hudson River! Older property but in good condition, adequate parking and good location right next to highway for easy access (which, along with the nearby train tracks, did make for some noise)...our room was adequate but on the small side. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Included breakfast was spartan - cereal, bagels, hard boiled eggs (unless they run out), coffee machine (but no juice), waffle maker which saved the day! We would stay again just for the beautiful view!!"
"The desk clerk was rude and unaccommodating. She said that they were sold out and our reservation was not honored AT ALL, and she said it was "tough lyck". We had to scramble to find another hotel"
"The room that I was in which was 105 the bathroom wallpaper was peeling. The towels looked gray instead of white, but on a hole the room was very clean, neat and comfortable as far as breakfast is concerned I was disappointed due to the fact there was no scrambled eggs and bacon all other hotels serve eggs and bacon and some of them serve sausage other than that breakfast was doable waffles look good and all the pastries. Everything else was excellent, but you ask the question and that’s my answer. This is probably the third time we’ve been at this particular hotel and I will stay again."
"I booked two beds and got there to discover we had one king and a sofa bed which you could feel the springs on. Even the manager said that the sofa wasn’t for sleeping, just for sitting. There was certainly ample space in the room for another bed. And the king was against a different wall than the tv was facing so they must have moved the bed for some unknown reason so we could only see the tv in profile. We would have distracted ourselves with the view but alas we also opened our shade to find out we were behind the entrance marquee. "
"The room clean and spacious. It seemed to had been updated recently because it didn't have the usual stuffy hotel room smell. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was nice with hot and cold options. We visit the area 2-3 times a year to see our child, and we'll definitely come back."
"My check in was fine we were met by an efficient, kind hostess.
The issue was the shower and check out… after my husband showered the tub would not drain. My husband had to clear a disgusting clog of hair and grime.. we had no time to call or go to a new room as we were in fishkill to attend my sons graduation early am at Mt St Mary college.
It was gross and time consuming but we took care of it. At check out the host was rude. I said matter of factly that I was not looking for a refund but wanted to make sure someone knew there was a clog in our room. He said I’ll tell the engineer I said it was taken care of I was making a point that housekeeping should have known. He never said sorry for the inconvenience or appreciate you handling it.. nothing just I’ll let the engineer know and went on to the next person checking out. I feel if it was my business I would want to know. Not the stay we were hoping for and for 230+ dollars a night a clean shower should be the norm."
