Appletree Inn
4/5 Good
"Considering this place was almost 1/3 the price of everywhere else we saw available at the last minute, we kind of expected worse. But we just needed a place to crash due to horrible construction delays preventing us from reaching out destination before night-blindbess set in, and it ended up being totally fine. Nice digital keypad locks, and it worked out great for us that we had a king bed plus a full bed in a separate attached bedroom, both with ceiling fans. The mattresses weren't very comfy but I don't really sleep well except on my memory foam at home anyway. And although the bathroom was a little worn down, it was very clean. We did check for bed bugs and other pests but found nothing. The furnishings and bedding were definitely bare bones, but we had brought some pillows and blankets anyway. There was a mini fridge, microwave and TV, which we didn't end up using, and the Wifi and AC worked (and even provided some appreciated white noise from the busy street nearby). We managed to clock a full 8 hrs of rest before hitting the road again. Tina who checked us in at midnight (sorry, Tina!) was VERY nice and I didn't think all of the bad reviews we saw were really accounting for the great price so we wanted to make sure and post our experience."
