Excellent place to stay

Great little hotel in a beautiful quiet town, which is oozing with charm. Owners were lovely, room was great and it was a perfect place to stay the night during our ring road adventure.

The beauty of this stay is the location - Iceland’s largest fjord. It’s a quiet location among the beautiful mountains, very scenic. One small downside is that our room didn’t have blackout curtains for traveling during the latter part of May.

The room was spacious and clean. It could use some updating ( not all light fixtures worked) but had everything we needed. Bathroom was clean but also would benefit from some updates.

Unfortunately, the area was pretty desolate even compared to the other small fishing communities we visited on our trip. Breakfast was not ready when it was supposed to be, so we left without any other food options for miles. The room itself was serviceable. It was a place to sleep on a long road trip, which is what we needed.

The window handle was broken, bad smell from the washroom, bed sheets are dirty, table lamp is not working. We booked two room, but only get one room information, no feedback from the hotel……

Worth stopping at.

Nice place to stay. Not fancy, but you park near your car and it’s warm. Breakfast was very basic, but we left with a full belly.

Get what you pay for

Room was ok - was provided extra towels and pillows but wasn’t anything fancy. Did provide breakfast at the hotel up the street for free which was also nice

Room was exceptionally clean, had a shower and bathroom which is more than you could ask for in a guesthouse. Host was quick to respond to texts and the complimentary breakfast was great.

I am giving a 5 star review for easy check in and affordability. It is simple, but everything you need to spend a night. The place is clean and has a TV. The breakfast, which is included, is similar to those in other places where you pay $14-17, the only difference being the simple setting and cafe.

The place was very clean with hot water. It was a great pit stop on our road trip; close to the main road going in and out of the city, making it easy to pull on and off. There is no reception but called about an issue with the lock box and they were very helpful.
