Tolle Unterkunft
Was will man mehr.
Accommodation was more than big enough with a lovely spacious apartment in good condition. The service was not quite up to the standard I was expecting, but this could have been a language barrier issue. The location has very little around so I had no choice but to cook in the apartment, which had just a hob and no oven.

Nobody waiting for us at arrival
We arrived at Gasthof Falkenstein on Monday evening after a very long trip. Nobody told us that Monday was day-off, so there was nobody in the hotel. No lights outside. I treid to call but only a German voice mail was answering so we had to wait outside for a long time (under the snow). After talking to some very kind people in the town, we were able to find the keys of our rooms hanged on a secondary door. Finally we reached our rooms.
Good older ski lodge type hotel with no elevator. Restaurant in hotel serving dinner and breakfast. Shower. Good parking. Loved the large room with wood finishes and the table to work on.

Our room was quaint and the service was wonderful. We decided to eat dinner at the restaurant and loved it. There was a trampoline, slide and play house to entertain the kids. After our food arrived, live music played and we decided to stay longer. The included breakfast offered many selections and fresh coffee. If we are ever in the area again, we will certainly stay again.
I especially liked the arrangement of our room, as it had a separate part for sleeping and another one as "living room", which gives a lot of privacy for people travelling together as friends or siblings. The room is well equipped, huge wardrobe, seating area, comfortable bed with separate matresses, lot of small lights, well-lit and superclean bathroom. Public transport to nearby Rosenheim is perfect, it is a practical and high quality spot to stay for those who want to be close to the city and nature as well.
Quet, clean, nice, nice staff, good brekfast, good meals, everything first class. Took us a long time to find out the location but it was truly our fault. ..................------------....................
Not happy with the check-in process - Monday is a 'rest day' for the whole business. No one available for food / drinks / check in. Be aware that a double room can be interpreted as a twin and the hotel were adamant that this was ok. Very pretty location and an interesting building. Breakfast seemed expensive to me and was added to my bill even though that was not what was booked.
