My white jeans got dirty from sitting on the bed sheets and I notified the hotel to change the sheets and they said they don’t change sheets.

Needs to work on better service
The hotel was clean. But the service was sub-par. They advertise that breakfast is included but the breakfast opens at 8AM (in most hotels its 6 or 7AM). All the tours start by 7:30AM. The person at the reception who said his name is William was not customer friendly at all. We had to practically beg him to make a cup of coffee in the morning or have it self-served. He would turn off the A/C even when we were in the room at night. We had to ask him to turn it on every night.

The staff was great and the breakfast had choices however the bed was terrible The matress was rock hard and for 3 nights, thats uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit sounded like a jackhammer

Great location, super clean and new But too small
I stayed 2 nights to visit the city walking. Location great, hotel everything looks new. Pay parking around the corner. Only downside was that room was too small.

a few days in Florence
A gem in the busy city of Florence. Lovely, clean room and spacious for Europe. Wonderful breakfast included and maybe 10 minute walk from the train station. We would definitely stay again!

Rude.
Overnight desk staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. We were forced to relocate hotels after they would not allow our third guest to stay despite having a Triple room. I will be requesting a refund.

Dear Anonymous, i believe you are the guests at the room 200 if i am correct. There was an error during that night, but if you talked to Cosimo in the morning he would have tell you that there was no problem to stay in the room for 3 person, with a valid identity card or document. The driver license from a country outside europe is not considered as a proper identity card in Italy. It was your ow decision to relocate in another structure,we would have gladly help you solve the problem to stay in our hotel.Best regards Hotel Boston *** - Firenze

It is a family hotel with exquisite interior design. Very close to the train station and tourist areas. The staff helps you and suggests everything you need in Florence.

Great Stay near Train Station SMN
The location of the hotel is great, especially if you are traveling with train. It is located approximately 5-10 mins from the main Firenze train station Santa Maria Novella. The place is also within walkable distance from the Duomo Cathedral and main city center. The place is clean and very nice, comfortable. We had breakfast included with our booking, and breakfast was good. Coffee was very good. One thing to note is that bathroom is a little tight in size. Room also has everything you need, but it tends to be a little smaller in space. However, it has everything you need and we had no problem with the room/bathroom size, but it could feel a little tight for some people used to big rooms in US. Overall it was very nice stay, and would stay here again if I were to visit again.

Room was cramped - uncomfortable bed. AC barely worked and was covered under window so if you wanted to close drapes the AC wouldn’t blow anywhere. Service was curt at best. Good location.

Convenient location, average hotel
This is walking distance from the train station and very close to many of the attractions. The overall ambiance of the hotel is nice. However, at the time of booking, the hotel promises several amenities that were not available. One of the staff persons we interacted with was rude and unhelpful. The room was very suffocating because of poor air circulation and high humidity. It also had a damp smell. Our room was definitely not worth the amount we paid for it.

The room is so small with barely a space to walk, and the bathroom is directly inside your room, u have to slide a door to use toilet seat, then slide it back for the sink. Not very practical and smelly with flying insects. The staff was very friendly though and location was okay

Hidden Treasure in Florence
It is a small family run hotel (it seems), and has been renovated, so while it is in an old building it looks new. I was alone and had a very small room (the toilet and bath looked like they were just inside a closet (it was more amusing and adventurous than inconvenient), but it was OK for most of my needs. The reception staff were most friendly and helpful. The breakfast was OK. The location was very convenient, just beside the Rue Nazional, and near several main roads which were leading to the main tourist sites. There is a lift even if there are only 3 floors, but there is a good breakfast area and good wifi. For short stay visits at a convenient area (around less than 10 minute walk from the train station), I would highly recommend this.

Our stay was not pleasant. the room we stayed 210 was a closet. When we asked to be moved, were promised in the evening and the next morning were declined. There is Chinese restaurant next door that is very loud till 1am. The breakfast was adequate if you come before 9 am, otherwise just coffee and crumb cake. Overall I will not recommend this hotel. There are plenty hotels in the area to choose from.

Once I handed over my American passport, the young man at the desk treated me rudely and put me right next to the elevator. I didn't even receive a map of Florence. The hotel is not hard to find but the area is less than desirable with one of the streets filled with men just hanging out and graffiti on the walls. The beds are hard and the air conditioner non existent. Other people wrote about the young lady at breakfast but I found her to be the most pleasant person in the hotel. It is clearly where Americans are not viewed well. The staff all seem too busy to help yet there is nothing to be done. My friend stayed across the river in the non touristy area and her place was amazing. If I returned to Florence, this place would be the very bottom of my list.

Friendly small hotel, central Florence
I liked this hotel. Lovely helpful owner. Centrally located so you can walk to the Duomo in 10-15 minutes, and the area seems good. Pleasant, sheltered back yard where you can sit out at tables. Buffet breakfast. My single room was small (no armchair) but otherwise very good : clean, modern fittings, stylish bathroom. Fine for 2 nights. Overall, a nice small & friendly hotel at a good price. I'd go back.

If using GPS, guidance can direct you left at Gualfa instead of right and difficult to reroute around again. Parking was extremely difficult to locate on street and garage parking expensive. But staff always helpful, clean facility with a Soho charm.

Hotel Boston - Good stay
This quiet hotel is a small walk away from the Sta Novella train station. It is located near some great restaurants and gelaterias. The Accademia was only a couple of blocks to walk to (reserve your tickets online) see the famous "David" sculpture. The room was decorated modern style and was comfortable for our needs. Ladies: bring your hairdryer though. The shower was the best one that I saw while staying in Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome) because it was spacious and had both soft and strong shower spray. The continental breakfast was very good with strong coffee and protein choices along with breads and sweets. You are within walking distance to most major tourist attractions in the city (Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio). The people of Florence take pride in their city and it shows.

Hotel Boston was great. The entire place looked newly renovated and absolutely spotless. The location was walking distance to everywhere you want to be, staff was friendly, the room we had was a bit small - as most hotels in Italy are, but big enough not to bump into each other for 2 people. Overall great value.

Not a great experience.
I had a ground floor room. There was a bit of a insect problem in the shower room. I also found an insect crawling in my bed. These insects were what I would term as wood lice. Damp conditions attract them. The hotel is also just a little tired looking and the garden area was not being maintained. This is a key feature in the photographs online. Breakfast was ok. But not great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Boston. It was very close to the train station and made it very easy to get around. The room was nice and updated and the staff was very friendly. We were in a hurry so we didn't eat breakfast in the morning, but it smelled very tasty! We would stay here again.

For the price paid a good hotel, Will admit the décor and set up appeared more to be a B&B than a hotel, and my room was obviously recently self decorated (not a professional finish, holes from installation of TV & phone cables etc.) But it was clean, with excellent & friendly reception staff, good wifi, in room digital safe, fridge and more importantly enough plug sockets to be able to keep my life "charged" (not always the case in Italian hotels). My only negative experience was the sound pollution, I was on the ground floor facing the street so my window was walked past by everyone, had to keep the curtain's closed for privacy, also no "black out" material so streetlamps all night long. also had noise from tourists outside (some not so sober or quiet) and every person going in and out of hotel with banging of front door (next to my room) Also could hear every conversation and noise from reception (including night receptionists personal conversations on phone) In conclusion will recommend and book again for myself but will ask for any room except "number 6"

Hotel Boston was a lovely place to stay. The rooms were a great size and the facilities were stylish and clean. The safe in the room was a bonus. The breakfast each morning was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Small hotel & friendly courteous staff
Was in town for work and recreation and the hotel stay made the stay easy and friendly. The hotel is small but comfortable - had a very positive time and would recommend to friends.
