"The whole experience was very good. The attached dining room was excellent. The food was also excellent. Staff very helpful. The old pub was done up tastefully. We would certainly go back again."
"The beds were very comfortable. The shower was good but I didn't like the exhaust fan coming on when you turned the light on in the bathroom because it made the room very cold. It is a shame that they don't have a separate switch."
"The property was very comfortable & welcoming for 3 adults, a child & a small dog. It was lovely to have milk & juice left in the fridge to welcome us.
The beds & furniture were comfortable, however, on entering the lounge, the fabric lounge furniture & carpet smelled extremely musty & caused the child's asthma to worsen. A steam clean is urgently suggested.
There is no hotplate in the kitchenette & only 1 very small lidded microwave container. The crockery cannot go in the microwave as it has a gold metallic rim, so a larger microwave safe cooking container is needed. The only other cooking method is a large electric frypan.
A grabrail would be helpful as the shower is in the deep spa bath.
Better lighting on winding pathways would be helpful for dark rainy evenings.
The property is close to Yarra Glen Village but there is really only a small bakery (till 2.30), IGA, fish & chip shop & hotel for food there."
"Our stay delivered a wonderful and picturesque getaway. The luxurious rooms held a touch of romance and the views were so pretty even in the depths of winter. Exploring the house and the gardens was lovely. Being so close a visit to Yering station for a deliciou wine tasting made for another unexpected and easy to fit in activity. Chateau Yering lived up to any expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying here. The thoughtful welcome gift in our room was a truly unexpected surprise. It was the perfect last night of our overdue wedding anniversary mini-break."
"Room was clean and well maintained. Outside noise was a bit much due to road construction. Hot water was inconsistent for the shower. Otherwise I had a comfortable stay."
