"This place feels truly special. A magical place to hide away from the noise and bustle of Crete’s mega tourist spots. Spectacular views and a beautiful beach. "Everything about this property says luxury and quiet indulgence. Set away from the town by a lovely 5-10 minute walk, it’s away from the crowds and noise of beach taverna but still well and easily within reach. There is a supermarket across the street, two bakeries 1 minute walk away, and plenty more a 5-10 minute easy and lovely walk. The beach is across the street maybe a 3-5 minute leisurely walk. It is on the main road so sitting outside you can hear traffic, though inside you hear nothing. It didn’t bother us, just something to be aware of. Also the pool in the suite is very cold. The room itself is understated without austerity, clean without sterility- a perfect end to a glorious beach day or exploring hiking trails within walking distance! The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great, keeping us quite cool in the evenings and making our sleep some of the most restful we’ve experienced. The breakfast was a major highlight- try the Cretan and the Cretan bowl! Without fault and always served with the classic Greek sense of quiet hospitality. The staff was next level. Helpful and friendly, they really went the extra mile, helping my husband and myself plan a cooking class, a massage, or whatever we wanted. There is so much nearby to do we were never bored. There is even a nice little fitness room with dumbbells, a treadmill, and a bench! We stayed 10 nights and it was perfect from start to finish. I can’t recommend Amente mindful stay enough and we will be back!"

"I stayed at the Sunrise for a week and have no idea how it was given 3.7 stars. The price of the stay was WONDERFUL for my budget! The location was PERFECT, be it right next to the sea. Manolia the customer service representative was above & beyond helpful. The best part of my stay was the 8€ breakfast! They did a WONDERFUL job with it and helped me stay below budget for my food costs. The room was clean & smelling good. There only one negative thing... and it comes from the customer expecring a Ritz Carlton experience in the farming portion of Crete. Well Worth It. Pay the 8€ for the breakfast and it'll save you 30€ from eating out."
