We enjoyed a 1 night stay in room Loch Lochy and would definitely return. The code check in was really simple and the entrance area was fresh and modern. The room itself was even better than the pictures, the finishings and detail were great ans the space itself was very relaxing and benefits from a lovely outdoor terrace with table and chairs. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the lovey views from here with a coffee. This area did have a divider between the other rooms terrace and ours and I think we would have preferred if it was a little higher for privacy, but that’s our own preference and also due to us having our dog with us. Tea and coffee were delicious! During our stay the fire alarm went around 1am and the manager was on the phone and out on site extremely quickly. Great system in place and we appreciated the managers response!

It was a great centralized location for the areas in the Highlands we wanted to visit so we could have a hime base for a few days. The check-in instructions were emailed to us plenty of time in advance giving clear and concise information. The cleaning staff were extremely accommodating, going above and beyond to meet our needs.

Fort Augustus stay.
The Rooms werw nicely appointed and a good size. We did have an issue regarding the emergency light coming on in the middle of the night and stayed on for 3 hours. As there are no staff on site to resolve the problem we had to improvise as it could not be turned off remotely. The employee we contacted was as helpful as she could be from a distance and we were given a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. Though we were told its not the 1st time that this has happened in one of the rooms so may need to have a plan in place should it happen again. Once again the member of staff was lovely and did what they could so no complaint regarding her service at all. More to do with their proceedures especially as not staff local to resolve any issues immediately. It would not stop me staying again if we were planning to visit the area again.

Unfortunately the emergency light is from the fire safety system and it can't be turned off remotely however we'll get in touch with our maintenance company and ask them to dim them to the minimum. Also on the confirmation booking it is clearly specified that there is no staffing on site after a certain hour (hence the self check in codes) but there is a phone number that can be used for emergency situations and the person on call will be happy to assist if possible. The room was clean and so spacious. Loved having a view of the locks. We had car trouble and the staff let us stay past the checkout until our tow truck arrived.

The location was great, but there was no safe parking. The host was not easily reachable to enter in the apartment because getting keys etc was quite complicated process

The location was perfect, the staff were helpful and kept the place spotless. The only problem was our room was by the main exit door so it was alittle loud.

Loved it
For 2 adults and a 18month old it was small but perfectly organised. Nice outside space too. Perfectly clean, positioned on the canal right next to shops and bars, plus the shop/cafe was lovely too. Loved the village, loved the accommodation. Highly recommended.

Parkings a bit of a faff. This is due to it being right outside a non parking road. However you can park at the otherside of the canal if you head further up and round the bend opposite the bank building. Other than that defo accommodating and would stay again.

Comfort and friendliness in Loch Ness territory. Although check in is not until 4:30 pm, the staff person/manager was very helpful. He showed me to the room and carried some of our gear which had arrived by courier vanservice. I still need The restaurant downstairs was open for the first time the best evening of our stay.Thefood was quite good and the service very good.

Comfortable room in a good location
A beautiful room with a comfy bed, lovely bath and terrace. Due to hot weather the room was a little warm and although there is a floor standing fan provided, the height of it, it didn't really cool you in bed. The blind would have been good at blocking out the light, but because of how it was installed there was around 1cm of window that wasn't covered which meant the room got light very early in the morning. The terrace is a lovely idea, but there is also a terrace right next too it and with no privacy screen it was a little awkward sitting out there having a conversation or reading a book when those in the other room also were on their terrace.

Great but could be improved
Firstly location excellent, right in the centre of Fort Augustus, on the shore of Loch Ness, 50mins drive down to Fort William if you are planning on hiking Ben Nevis as we did, but what comes with the central location is that is no parking, a side lane will have to do a couple of minutes walk away, it did get very busy. Some might find the road a little noisy but that again comes with the location. rooms clean & tidy, beds comfortable I was disappointed as it was a self checkin with no staff to speak with that there was no ironing facilities, I also think a small fridge would be great. This might not be a common issue in Scotland but the room was unbearably hot due to the recent high twenties temperatures, the room had a fan but it made little difference. The above are not complaints as we really enjoyed our stay just simple pointers on how the accommodation could have elevated itself and awareness for future visitors, especially if you just roll your clothes up in a ball expecting to be able to iron in the accommodation.

Great stopover
Loved this place. The accommodation was stylish and spotless. Good for those walking/cycling the canal route. Fort Augustus has good food and drink options too. I recommend the pizzas from nearby Beaufort House. Enjoyed watching the canal locks being opened for boats passing through and the swing bridge being opened too.

I enjoyed the clean crisp feel of Caledonian Canal Centre. The setting was special and placing overnight accomodation next to canal lochs made for a unique and fun experience. You guys had a great idea! Thanks for making it happen!

Outstanding beauty
Clean and comfy with beautiful area and nice pubs. Would come again for sure. The cleaners did a great job and even put a wine glass in our room when they noticed we had a bottle of wine . Personal service means a lot

The Neptune Room was pleasant and light. The heating was effective (on a very cold night). The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. Just a few maintenance issues (one bedlamp didn't work, and the bathroom blind cord was detached). The outlook was attractive and the location between the canal and river was perfect.

This was a last second booking and ended up being the best. The location is right on the loch, we stayed in the Loch Ness room which had a gorgeous balcony and just generally so nice
