"It was secluded so I really enjoyed that. I wish there were more directions on how to check-in though. I had a hard time finding it at first. "

"The mattress was disgusting and there was roaches in our room. Also the room for one night was 228.00, it was a Friday night. This room looked like it should have been 50.00 a night. The night manager did put us in another room but as soon as he walked us to new room and opened the door a roach ran across. Will never stay at this property again "

"The staff is great. They always take care of us. There was no noticeable dirt but I found a roach on the morning we were checking out. I know New Orleans has an unsolvable roach problem. Perhaps it’s just a southern fact of life. There are no amenities. No pool. No free breakfast. Hotel breakfasts suck and it is within a trivial walking distance of the beach. IHOP and McD’s are within a mile and both offer good breakfasts. We parked at our first floor door. There are probably a couple of end units with a view of the oceans but the hotel is perpendicular to the beach. All rooms face the parking lot. There is an elevator. The towels are thin as one would expect. I got dry. If you are looking for luxury you wouldn’t be looking at Red Roof Inn. It was an acceptable hotel at a cheap price a few yards off Seawall Blvd. That was what I wanted and what I got. No complaints. The surprising thing is the quality of the service. Everyone there exceeds every expectation of what a budget hotel should provide. This was our second stay and I will continual I win the lottery."
