I didn’t see any staff except the receptionist.Rooms were smelling bad.They charged money from free parking and something I didn’t even understand. Pool of the captiva tower was dirty. I hope this hotel recovers soon. I don’t recommend it and I won’t go there again.

Property is nice, but there really is no beach and I really disliked the layout of the resort. Nicest restaurant overlooks tennis courts instead of water and the courts need maintenance. The walk to the steakhouse is 1/2 mile over a bridge that is starting to fall apart and feels unsafe walking over. Elevators are very old. There is a strange odor throughout the hotel, and a few times I smelled gas. Rooms are nice and clean, pool area is nice. Bar is excellent and the staff are all nice and friendly. Just needs maintenance in areas.

Great place for visiting family on Sanibel. Pool is nice. We were in the Captiva tower, which at first felt like we were given the short end of the stick but the tower was more quiet, views were great, and the pool area was much more private than the main pool.

Excellent customer service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Service around the pool was very slow, but it seemed to be because of few staff, not that anybody wasn’t working hard. A magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be very helpful. Otherwise, rooms are wonderful.

Make sure you know what tower you’re staying in. Captiva tower is not nearly as nice and is quite inconvenient. If you want to experience the resort, stay at Sanibel tower.

The buildings are spread out. I was put in the captiva building. I was told it was a 3 minute walk. I tried to drive to the main building and was told to go back to my building and call a shuttle. The pool was never vacuumed the 4 days I was there. I was not impressed.

Pools were nice. On-site restaurant was average. Breakfast buffet food was cold. Floors in restaurant were sticky. Traffic around resort was terrible. You couldn’t leave property without sitting in traffic. A 5-minute ride to a restaurant turned into an hour easily. Housekeeping under-staffed. Our room was only cleaned once during our 5-day stay and we had to request the room clean despite being out of the room for most of the day. We had to call and request clean towels. As the week went on and the resort became busier, pool and beach towels were unavailable to guests.

The property is at the harbor. I was looking for a hotel by the beach. Depending on the traffic, I had to drive 15 - 20 minutes to the beach. There are a few restaurant options at the hotel. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other places. I chose an ocean-view room... Sunset, sunrise, and the sound of the water through the night was amazing.

We did not like the fact that we we put into another building away from the main building and its amenities. We traveled with friends they were in the main building. We needed to take a shuttle to get to the main building. Did not care for the inconvenience.

Loved the spa, with sauna, steam room and whirlpool. I would have liked to have taken advantage of spa services, tennis and pickle ball but not enough time. Did not like to pay for parking at a large resort like this and parking is not cheap.

Kudos to everyone on the food & drink service side - Chris, Asta & Nick at The Cove, room service was great, and of course Nelson’s help with everything else. Housekeeping could use a bit better training. Our room was not serviced between Monday and Friday. The two staff we asked about it Friday morning very kindly assured they would discuss with housekeeping; however, our room had still not been cleaned when we returned from our day trip Friday afternoon. When we called the front desk they asked if our do not disturb card had been on the outside of our door. No. We travel quite a bit and are quite aware of how the do not disturb card works. We’re relatively certain that had we not found Nelson our room might not have been cleaned again for at least another day. The other issue was the consistent noise. Whether guests thumping music until 1:30 a.m., the very loud elevator “ding”, or housekeepers chatting and laughing in the hallway outside our door very early in the mornings, sleeping was frequently interrupted throughout each night. Honestly had we driven to this destination rather than flown, we would have left early so as to be better rested before returning to work tomorrow. We appreciate all that has been accomplished to reopen after Hurricane Ian. Service staff were very kind and professional. Housekeeping and attention to details to provide a relaxing vacation venue have some work left to go.

It is a very beautiful resort and the views are astounding. The staff are amazing. Kind and professional, especially the porters at the front door! The hotel has been beautified but the elevators are very old. Not sure they can be replaced unless they spend 10's of millions and why? A great place!

This place was really nice. We have usually stayed out on Sanibel but as they continue to rebuild we thought we’d try this as an option. The rooms were very clean, the view over the bay was amazing during sunset. We even were lucky enough to see dolphins swimming right I from out window. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool was very nice beciase it was heated really well. The days were warm but the evenings cooled off making the heated pool even better. The breakfast buffet was very good. An adequate amount of options and there was a chef that would cook you and omelette if you wanted. The only small issue we had was getting a couple extra blankets. It took them 2 days, a couple phone calls to the desk and then a final stop at the desk. But once we had them we were good to go. Still a 5/5 from us!
