Everything was very clean and staff were excellent.
The room was clean and I particularly loved the layout and what the room offered, genius. Don't know if we'll be back to Pecos, but certainly I'm a Home2 Suites fan from now on.
Very clean place, nice little kitchen set up. We especially liked the roll out table when we ordered take out and the curtain we could use to separate the sofa and sleeping area.
Nice modern 2 room suites type hotel that has everything you need in a room as well as a good breakfast in the morning and (new) a happy hour 6 - 9pm during the week where you get a free beer or glass of wine. We've stayed at other hotels in Pecos and this is the best.
The staff was super friendly at check-in and allowed us to check in 2 hours early. They gifted us some water at check-in also. The breakfast was great! So many options and the hot options tasted fresh. Our room was super spacious and the beds were very comfy. The AC was meh; it was set to 67 but from the beginning it felt slightly humid and stuffy. It wasn’t miserable and everything else made for it. I will likely look for this hotel branch next time we need a place to stay.
When I checked in , they couldn’t figure out how to do my mobile key . Other than that , everything was super great . When ever I stay at a hotel the mattress always feels like your sleeping on the floor . But here , I didn’t want to get out of bed . Had the best sleep I have ever had at any hotel . The breakfast was amazing as well . Anything you could possibly want .
We love to stay at Home2 Suites. The service is always excellent and the rooms are always super clean.
They are also super dog friendly. We have 2 good sized dogs and we stay here with both of them with no problems at all.
Whenever we travel and stay overnight we always look for a Home2 Suites.
The stay was fine had it not been for the staff & the dog at breakfast I would gladly return. The first issue was at check in with staff. Though I booked and paid for my stay through Expedia weeks in advance the 2 women at the front desk informed me another “Maria” had taken my king suite to 2 queens beds earlier. My name is Marie not Maria I had paid for the room I wanted the other lady had not. So after they checked my ID I was questioned as to why I had called to change my room I again told the 2 I indeed had not called to change anything. While waiting for the room issue to be resolved one of the 2 front desk employees proceeded to flirt with every man walking into place. I immediately felt uncomfortable seeing as I was only there to visit my husband; because he too like the other gentlemen checking in works away in the oil rigs. The employees didn’t care that those men were married nor that she blatantly made awkward advances in front of a lobby of guests. I was disappointed by the disrespectful manner of that person as a married woman. At the time of checkout I took our room keys to the front desk there was a different employee this time scrolling on her cell phone. I ask if keys should be left there she said I’ll take them never looking up from her phone. A not so appealing or clean dog with another guest also having issues at check was right next to the breakfast bar. The way the dog looked and the food being less than 5 feet way was just gross.
The room has not been kept up to standard since it was built. I was in and out each day so I did not notice the issues until my last night of the visit. The window cover had a hole in it and was destroyed at the bottom. The bathroom vents were rusted, the ceiling in the bathroom had been noticeably repaired, the bathtub had rusted spots and the ceiling above the shower had a large bubble from a current leak. I had noticed that the tub was wet when I returned one night but assumed that the shower head had retained water and slowly leaked. On the last night I looked up and there was a huge bubble of water. I brought it to the attention of the staff and they simply said, “we know there’s a leak.” This is unacceptable. If there is a known issue why are they still allowed to rent out the room. I will not be returning.
