"Popilia was an incredible place to stay. Eveything about the resort is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and was always very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately kept. The grounds are also meticulously maintianed. The pools is huge and makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean. The restaurant is also very good. If i had to give one criticism it would be to have a wider selection of food options for lunch or dinner. Otherwise 10 out of 10!!"

"The hotel is okay for a quick overnight in an area with limited hotel availability. I did not like the location of my single room (right off the lobby where men were smoking cigars and congregating). The very sweet receptionist changed our rooms three times due to cleanliness issues and beds were unmade in one room. We ate in the hotel dining room where a traveling soccer team was also staying. "Super attentive and friendly staff from Antonio at the Reception to Roberto and the Somellier (we called cousin Bob because he looks exactly like our Cousin Bob), Saverio, who ended up being the owner. "We had beautiful large luxurious rooms looking out to sea over the beach and promenade. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The dining room is superb and clearly a favorite with locals. The staff there were very helpful recommending very good €20 wine. Food was delicious. Breakfast with Francesco and Sylvia was fun and a perfect start to the day. Fresh squeezed orange juice by Sylvia a favorite. Francesco made perfect coffee and omelets to order. We loved the bathroom and luxurious bath and separate colorful shower! We used the time to relax after touring round Sorrento and Napoli. Much to see in Lamezzia and with easy access to Tropea by train!"
