You do need to check into the actual hotel (which this is not, this is the villas), which is like 5-10 mins away by car, and I'll say this now that the hotel does have a restaurant. "We had a great stay here - house was beautiful and well equipped and the remoteness and private pool were great for a relaxing stay in Crete. While you are about 20 mins outside of Chania it served as a good base for all of the western beaches and attractions while still close enough to Chania for dinners and exploring. "The breakfast everyday was delicious and very fresh! Fresh OJ every morning on the beach can't be beat. Always plenty of food with great choices. The service is top notch - for breakfast and the rest of the day. We got lunch on the beach one day and that was delicious too! And the gelato (although the scoops were a little small). The front desk (Sophia) was so helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. The hotel is right on a beautiful beach with plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The jacuzzi on our patio was great, but not quite hot enough. They could not make it warmer, but did put a solar cover on it. That didn't help much though because it wasn't too hot while we were there. Not sure if i would pay for that upgrade again. But, would not hesitate to stay here again. We loved it! "
