"The building is impressive, our room was large and clean. There were nice touches such as slippers, bath robes and toiletries. The lounge areas were deserted on the first day of our stay , giving the whole place the ambiance of a museum. The following day saw an influx of guests and the life of the place lifted considerably. There are cards and board games available but you needed to ask as nothing is offered. Breakfast was confusing, there was a standard and uninspiring continental breakfast but we were not told that there were hot food options on request. The opening times for the restaurants are rather limited with only the distillery restaurant available during our stay. The food at the restaurant was good but the menu was the same for lunch as well as dinner. We had been looking forward to walking around the garden which looks impressive in the hotel details. Unfortunately the garden and the tennis courts were, as a earlier review mentioned , rather tired and unmaintained. We cut our stay short."
"Breakfast was really nice with everything fresh and even bacon and scrambled egg.
Staff were really nice and friendly, complimenting my wife on her French whilst also being good wirh English"
"The hotel overall was very good, and the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and professional. The breakfast was also excellent with a good variety of options.
However, the carpet in the room had a very strong smell of dampness and mould, and it felt quite dirty because of the humidity. This was the only negative point during our stay.
Apart from that, everything else was very good."
"For a one night, quiet place to stop off on my journey with my dog, it was perfect. Not much room, but totally worth it - Best shower I have had in a long time and all renovated recently so it was a pleasant environment.
Lovely surroundings for walking.
Will stay again if I'm passing. "
"We had a fabulous 2 nights here, using it as a base to visit Agincourt and Crecy. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a fan and a fridge which we needed in the very hot weather. Meals were very tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely recommend it to friends and family."
