By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key. "This hotel was very close to both the train station and the main tourist activities. The location was excellent! On top of that, the staff were gracious and kind, eager to help and provide suggestions for meals and tourist sites, and directions. The room was spotless, with great AC to cool the room during a hot day! Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. I couldn't recommend more!"

"Big rooms, comfortable beds, clean, great breakfast bar, hotel has that old style charm but rooms are big and recently updated, no AC and they need to invest in newer more efficient fans, rooms are VERY noisy because hotel sits right under the street trolleys and they run 24/7... Is within walking distance of the main train station in Bern. Staff is friendly and will go out of their way to meet your needs."

"Great location, clean, comfortable beds, room had all that one needs, spoiled with MODERN room and air conditioning...rare in many Europe hotels. Greeted with a free beverage and ice cream! Welcoming and friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable staff to help with guidance in Bern. Will stay here again. Their breakfasts looked fresh cooked and great but decided not to book with it."

"This is just an amazing hotel in the perfect location--right at the entrance to the old city and directly adjacent to the train station. Our room was clean and well appointed, and I can't say enough about the staff, especially the desk clerk who helped us figure out the Aare swimming logistics, She even provided us with a hotel branded dry bag for floating down the river. My only comment is that the AC was not that strong, but the staff did provide us with a supplemental AC unit which cooled the room down considerably. HIGHLY recommend !"
