"We were disappointed with our stay and left early, forfeiting our second night because the noise was unbearable. The property photos are extremely misleading. Balconies appear to face a peaceful forest, but actually overlook a busy highway with constant traffic, loud mufflers, honking, barking dogs, and roosters crowing at all hours. We booked expecting a quiet, "spa-like" environment based on the listing, but relaxation or sleep was impossible. Furthermore, pre-trip communication was frustrating. The property ignored Expedia messages, forcing expensive international phone calls as they lack a WhatsApp contact. They also advertise thermal pools, but neglect to mention that locals can use the facilities. On a Tuesday, the pools were so overcrowded I couldn't find a chair. One of the pools were closed, and the remaining ones required an extra fee. Worse was the loud music played. This place could not be further from relaxing. The only enjoyable part of the stay was the steam rooms. While staff aren't responsible for outside noise, the listing must honestly reflect the setting. Management showed little concern for our issues."

"The staff is Amazing. Really good people. They even gave us fresh coconut water when we left. As we have to leave very early, we preordered the breakfast the day before and it was ready perfectly “on time”. They have A/C in the cabin, really necessary. Is a very good choice when visiting Semuc Champey."

"The hotel is incredibly close to the main attraction however it is very basic. it is clean and has decent food for purchase, shower pressure is 1/10 the sink has more flow. i used a cup to splash myself from the sink to the shower just to get the soap off my body. I did not dare to wash my hair. I ended up checking out early and driving to the city for a hot shower."

Then when I told them I already paid while booking 2 months prior they disagree and they put me on the phone with apparently an expedia customer service rep... after debating for few minutes they gave me the room keys. Room looked cheap and the shower dirty, water was barely running and it was cold"
