Blue Iguana Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Our family had a most pleasant time here. From the sweet welcome basket (you have the option to purchase or pass on a breakfast basket) that was prepped and ready upon checking in to our room (includes fresh bagels individually wrapped, yogurt with granola on the side, cheese, and add'l treats such as raisins, oranges, and to drink- orange juice & milk) made for a nice arrival to start our vacation. Oh and the jacuzzi/pool are nestled amidst a lushful scene that is well maintained and so dreamy. At sunset, the outdoor atmosphere is all the more beautiful and relaxing. Beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and note there is a quiet time (9/9:30pm)... (our kiddos are teens and were okay with keeping it chill). There are also bikes with baskets on site that you can rent and use for the day-- we did not get the chance to rent them this time, but I am truly looking forward to the next time. Also fire pit and outdoor seating for taking in the scenery. It is about a 3-5 minute drive in to town and it was perfect. Can hardly wait to go back. Thank you for making it special for us."

"This is a beautiful property. That being said, for the price, I had exceedingly high expectations. We could have paid more for a spectacular view. However, every room should have at least a nice view. We had a view of a small grass area with shrubs and a wall. There was an ant problem in the room. There were greasy hand prints on the door. The shower stayed warm, but not hot. Signage said to leave towels on the rack if we want to save water and not get fresh towels. We left them on the rack and were given fresh towels, wasting water. Bed was comfy. We wanted a spa treatment and based on the description thought that the "Signature" mani/pedi included hand/arm and foot/leg massages. The ladies were super sweet and gave good mani/pedis, but other than the skin treatments used in arms/legs, felt like ordinary mani/pedi. None of these would typically be an issue. But, at this price point, expected more."
