"The property has been maintained as a castle based hotel since the 1970โs. The castle interior furnishings and appointments are unique. You have to see it to believe it. It was amazing. The original owner who took over the property from the county spent a tremendous amount of time bringing nautical themed interior furnishings. Also plenty of old Irish castle charm such as suits of armor remain. The room #2 we stayed in was large and elegantly furnished. The private bath was totally renovated and modern. The hotel restaurant and bars have to be seen to fully appreciate them. The staff were gracious and the food was excellent. Try it. Stay in a full blown Irish castle. You will not regret it."

"Lovely stay for 2 nights.....food was good for evening meal....bar staff beyond call of duty Breakfast for 1 on one morning absolutely random....hadn't booked but had been told just arrive wont be an issue....inexperienced staff very obvious what do you want me to take for Irish/Continental before I could glance at what was available....no trays...no brown bread kitchen out of.( even thought this was 9.15 out of a 10.00 closure) very little choice....nobody experienced or able to control."
