"For the price we paid, the room was surprisingly spacious, had been recently renovated so in excellent condition and also very clean. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, however the staff on reception at the time of check in were both very friendly and helpful. When booking a less expensive get-away for just one night, this honestly had everything you would need. Again, just to highlight, in comparison to most places we have stayed in this price bracket, the room was exceptionally spacious and well maintained, really couldn’t say a bad word about it!"

"The main issue I found that irritated me a little was the divan base of the double bed in our lodge was very dirty and stained . You could see it on entering the room and also when leaving the bathroom. Maybe putting a box valance on the base to cover this might be an idea as I did not expect that when paying a few hundred pounds for a 2 night stay. Also the chairs in the function room are I. Need of refurb or replacement. They are very rickety and 4 of our table had issues with the seats sliding off when seating or standing. Looked quite tired in that room in all honesty"

"I booked two single rooms, neither of them were good. Room 5 had no flushing toilet and really smelled of urine, no cleaning had been done there was loose tobacco in one of the drawers absolutely disgusting. The 2nd room no 20 was just as bad and the bed was broken and almost on the floor, no good if you have a bad back or knees"

"Hotel needs updating. We paid for a sea view room but not value for money. Needs a thorough clean. Not enough staff and a couple were rude. Don't visit if they have coach party because at breakfast although it states times coach parties are catered for first as tables are reserved for them other guests have to find a table, which we were not told about and when we asked one nember of staff how it works for tables etc..she was so rude and told us if there isn't one available we would just have to wait If you want to book for a meal at the restaurant when coach parties are there you can only have their menu. The male member of staff who was there in the evening was lovely. Glad we only stayed for 2 days. Don't think we will visit again."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the Full English Breakfast was lovely. Our room was clean with full size bath towels, hand towels, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and water (still & sprinkling). Mattress was a little hard but comfortable. The only down side was the room was really hot (35 outside) and it only had a tower fan so the first night was a bit uncomfortable temperature wise apart from that i will 100% recommend this hotel to stay. I can’t wait to stay there again"
