Liked: staff, large room, location (close to Longleat and great restaurants), free parking, free WiFi. Disliked: Wanted to wake up a bit later, as we were on holiday and wanted to rest, but latest we could book breakfast was 8:30am, so had to wake up at 8:00am to make it down there on time, but waited 55 minutes for breakfast to finally arrive at 9:25am. The noise from the traffic on the road kept us and our 9 year old up throughout the night. The noise from loud drunk people downstairs also had the same effect. Bed wasn’t too comfortable, woke up with back pain. Bathroom smelled of long time dried up wee around the toilet.

A really convenient hotel, and the parking was a real bonus that was just outside the back entrance of the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was located close to shopping and restaurants. The food menu choice was limited but the pie options on the menu were delicious.

Staff were friendly and the room was lovely & clean & tidy & the cooked breakfast was yummy. Quite a lot of steps to the room and also a bit of a hill in to town & back so maybe a little difficult for those with mobility issues. But I would recommend to anyone.

We booked a triple suite for one night. This guesthouse was cosy and clean. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Beds comfy and the shower was great. We ate dinner downstairs and had pies and mash (The Mothership) which were delicious. My son had the southern fried chicken goujons which he really enjoyed. We noticed the pub/restaurant also has live music, including jazz and comedy some nights, which sounded cool. Only five miles from Longleat Safari Park, which was our reason for staying. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Thank you.

This property is a lovely little Bed and Breakfast near Frome Train Station. The room that was allocated to us was very spacious and well presented. Towels were presented in a nice manner. The staff were excellent and were happy to help with luggage etc and bar staff were very friendly. 5***** property - We would definitely book this place again and reccomend it to friends and family. This was by far the best of the bed and breakfasts that I have stayed in this year. Rooms are above a pub, which I didn’t know when I booked so there was an added bonus of ordering off the menu for dinner- they do a Pie & Mash menu and their Mash is sooooo creamy!! I had a stinkin cold so I had a spicy shot of alcohol which definitely helped me sleep right through. Comfy beds. WiFi codes and a menu is in a handy booklet in each room. Parking through the rear via the left archway. The rooms are clean and spacious. I booked for 3 adults as we had our son with us. Breakfast time is bookable the night before and you are offered various slots up to 8.30am being the latest. Only 6 miles from Longleat so I shall definitely recommend booking here and will definitely return in the future- probably for the Mash!!

Very easy, pleasant place to stay. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Breakfast good. Our rooms were a decent size with good shower. It is an old building and some flights of stairs are a bit steep so check if that would be a problem. We would stay here again.

A warm and lively place.
The rooms were generally clean .though the decor could have done with a bit of touching up ,especially around the entrance door.it was also a bit noisy at night because of the air con.it was switched off for most of the night but came on again early in the morning.It could only be heard from one room though.However overall the people were freindly ,the breakfast was good with an atmospheric feel to the dining area.

Room was on the small side and accessed by two flights of steep stairs (no lift). Amenities in room on the basic side but adequate for our needs. Would consider for future stays.

Not enough parking. Cobwebs on ceiling. No hot water. Breakfast mostly reheated in microwave. Staff lovely but hotel is very aged and needs work.

The Cornerhouse is situated just a xouple of minutes walk to the centre of Frome. The room we had was spacious and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was dreadful - low pressure and luke warm. Breakfast was great. It was ynfortunate that just after we arrived and had opened our windows to let some air in, two very inebriated men stood shouting and swearing just outside. One then proceeded to urinate next to the wheelie bin. Didn't create a great first impression but hardly down to the pub itself. Shame about the shower as otherwise I'd say the property met expectations and represented good value for money.

The rooms are snug and bathrooms are clean. Our shower was big too. There is tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the room too. The breakfast is freshly cooked and delicious, and the staff are friendly and good at their job. A walk of about 2 minutes gets you to restaurants and bars, plus there’s free parking. Very very good value for money

We enjoyed our over night stay at The Corner House. The breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful. The room itself was great, we slept well and we had all that we needed. The bathroom could do with a little tlc.

Stayed at The Cornerhouse the corner house for 1 night. Property needs a good refurb in the communal area but the room itself was nice. The bathroom was very dated, basic and cheap looking so that did let it down. The room was very hot, air con unit was very noisy and our room overlooked a roundabout so traffic noise was very disruptive. Breakfast, seemed good quality food but a little greasy for me Personally I wouldn’t return and likely to be able to get better for your money but it did the job for a night
