"The staff were so incredibly nice! It rained while we were there and they would chase me to give me an umbrella which I thought was very sweet. The breakfast situation was a little weird. One day we had breakfast in the hotel which was buffet-style with tons of Japanese breads and curry buns. The next day's breakfast was at a nearby restaurant. We stayed in a twin room and the room is really spacious. Also love the public bath, though small, it’s clean and serves its purpose. Breakfast is simple and not a lot of choices. But the food is fresh. They might wish to have a larger flask for the coffee though, as it seems to run out frequently. Parking is very convenient, right in front of the hotel. Hotel is also conveniently located along the main road, with a 7-11 next door. Will definitely stay again if I visit Shimada in future.
