Fukushima Holidays

This is clearly a property that mostly services foreign tourists, so people looking for a more traditional Japanese experience might be better in a quieter neighborhood, but this is a clean, modern, well-kept place right in the heart of Shinjuku that is very affordable. This does mean that you're located in the "entertainment district," so some of the nearby establishments are meant for adults only, but it is perfectly safe. The staff are very helpful and, for better or worse, they actively expect guests not to speak Japanese. Breakfast has both Asian and Western offerings, and the internet is easy and fast. Shinjuku Gyoen, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and Godzilla Road are all within a few minutes by foot.

The gaming room was a unique experience and it was very exciting to see the assortment of accessories. The building was clean and the staff were helpful. Overall a great experience.

Prince hotels are always a positive experience. I always enjoy my stay at a Prince hotel! The only downside to staying here would probably be the laundry room. Only 5 washers and 5 dryers. Not enough for all the guests trying to wash their clothes. Plus the dryers were not powerful.

This is a nice hotel. The lobby area, restaurants and garden especially. The rooms however are a bit worn and dated. They are working through a refurbishment, so I guess this will be rectified but it did mean some noise from this. There is also construction outside the station so the whole area feels like a building site right now. The view from my room on a high floor across Tokyo was superb though so would definitely be worth the rate once refurbished. This hotel is up a hill from the station and behind others in the complex. It is a bit confusing to find by going through one of the sister hotels and then the gardens. Also the shuttle bus to the station only operates from the hotel next door, which is closer to the station anyway so it made no sense to me and I just walked up and down the hill each time. This is fine so long as you don't have a lot of luggage and are quite mobile. Breakfast I felt was very expensive, even the discounted price booked ahead but there was a good choice. There is a 7-11 in the lobby though which is great for drinks and snacks.

Great breakfast. Location and room sizes were great. Wife and I disagreed on the beds. I thought they were great. She felt they were too firm.
