Extended Stay America Premier Suites - San Diego - San Marcos

"I stayed here for two nights. The pros: - The room was clean. - The staff were friendly. - Melanie was able to accommodate me with an early check in. (1:30pm) - Location was great as it was close to where I needed to be and also not too far from San Diego. The cons: - no hair dryer in the room. I called the front desk on each day and they mentioned they would need to find one but unfortunately after 2 nights I still did not receive a hair dryer - the lobby area and walkways have shown its age. You can see the wear and tear on the structures and there’s certain unpleasant smells in certain areas of the hotel. - nitpicking but breakfast was simply granola bars and packaged muffins That being said, you get what you pay for and I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be perfect. The cons did not ruin the experience of traveling to San Diego/San Marcos for me. I enjoyed my stay which is why this still deserves 5 stars. "

"I want to give a huge thank you to Mackey at Palo Mesa Golf Resort for going above and beyond to accommodate me. I had to stay at another hotel the night before and was worried about the gap between check-out and check-in, but Mackey made sure there was a smooth transition. He responded quickly and was incredibly helpful in getting me an early check-in so I didn’t have to wait around. It made such a difference to my day, and I truly can’t thank him enough. Excellent service and hospitality—Mackey is the reason I’ll be returning!"
