"The Air Con in the whole hotel is not working and on a hot day it is very difficult to get a proper nights rest. The south facing rooms are stiflingly hot. I learnt that the Air Con has been out of action for over a year. This issue should be made known at the time of reservation and not on arrival."

"The staff are good and the hotel is clean. But if you want a decent room which isn't for a hamster, if you want any sort of air con or a fridge then this isn't for you. You need to make more obvious. Pet friendly sort of they let you in and them in the room, not really anywhere for them to go to the toilet and no air con not good for them.."

"The Bar staff are absolutely brilliant,but appear understaffed.There was a power cut,but no back up generator.No Bar Menu food was served one night,the excuse given was implausible.The Management need to up their game.The rooms are quiet and clean.The Meon and Valley golf courses were very good value,greens in excellent condition.The grass on the tees could do with a trim."

"Booked "dog-friendly room" (it's handy to have that description in the room information when booking as otherwise I'd ring the hotel before booking to check if dogs are ok in room we're booking, so thanks for that). Note that £30pn is charged on top of room rate for a dog. It was a premium room, so had a lounge area with tv (Disney etc) & separate bedroom area. All very clean and comfy. Keiran was very welcoming on reception and offered to book us in for breakfast. We arrived late and no food was available after 9pm which was ok as we'd popped into a supermarket nearby on the way. Slept well until the groundsman woke us up strimming the grass outside our window at 8.30am, however we enjoyed our stay so much we booked a 2nd night. Hotel is extremely dog friendly as are welcome in 2 areas of breakfast/restaurant rooms and in the bar. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bar closed at 9.30 one night when we went for a night-cap but they did open to serve a drink to take back to the room. Lovely grounds so plenty of walking from the door. We paid £15 on to the bill for breakfast (hot drink, juice, one choice from menu). Full English & veggie version were freshly cooked and very tasty . We'll stay again if we get the chance."

"The staff was probably the most friendly we have had in all the hotels all over the world that we had stayed so far…very helpful, we asked for 4 additional pillows as the ones we had were a bit flat for our liking and we got them straight away,the breakfast was great just wished there was an option of poached/fried egg but everything else was great…the only downside for us was that the room carpet had some really bad stains and we couldn’t connect our phone to the tv to watch Netflix or sign in to our account…everything else was amazing …definitely recommend staying here and we also visited Hayling island as it close by ."
