"This was my second time staying at Protea. It's a very clean and nice hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet at night for some good rest. The only issue I had was with the breakfast. I told the staff person I would pay at checkout and within five minutes of me getting to my room she's calling me saying the system was down and if she could come and collect the payment at that time. I thought that was in poor taste because I still could've paid at checkout some four hours later. When I asked at the front desk if the systems were back up the person looked at me surprised and said oh yes, and I asked how long were they down, and she said oh just like an hour. I just don't believe that whole story. I think the lady at the breakfast area, wanted to get the payment thinking I would skip out on the bill, even though she asked me if I wanted to pay later. Anyway, I thought the whole thing was in poor taste, including waiting outside my room to make sure the payment went through. Overall it was a good one night stay. "
