"So basically the only good thing about this hotel is the location near beach. The state of the property is horrible. The phone did not work, the window aluminium shade didnt work. The plugs are far from dresser which is wierd. The staffare not helpful at all. The way to get to the hotel by train was a horrible experience pretty much the train station is deserted , i had to walk in the dark for half an hour ti get to civilation. They could tell guests that they need to get off at the previous...

"A wonderful building with clean, comfortable and well equipped suites. There was a little mix up with our room allocation but it was resolved promptly. Staff are friendly and efficient. Its minutes from the beach and about ten minutes to the train station so is an ideal base for exploring surrounding Tuscan towns. We will definitely stay again "

The front desk lady who checked us in ( forgot her name) offer her parking spot if we couldn't find street parking. We did find parking behind the hotel. This was very thoughtful of her. "Traditional resort hotel, the Bella Riviera is very central in Viareggio, on the main beach road. As a solo traveller I usually have to tolerate a windowless room behind stairs, so I was delighted to be given a lovely room at the front with a balcony and a sea view. The daily cleaning kept the room and en-suite spotless, the breakfast was a varied buffet and the staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the noisy air con. "
