The property was outstanding. We will always stay here on our return trips! There were two double beds and a fold out couch! We loved having the extra fold out couch. The hotel was beautiful. The staff ere amazing. I am older. I had a recent hip and knee replacement. I wanted to bring some breakfast food up to my room. Without even asking Mari (Mary) helped bring my tray up for me. This was outstanding service. It was also right across from the beach! We will be back again! We are already planning another trip to Galveston before the end of this Summer!

It was easy to check in and out, great AC and our room/hall was quiet. The room was spacious and had everything you would need for a longer stay. The gym was nice, breakfast was good with some variety, and, while it was small, there was a pool for the kids. It was also nice to be across the street from the beach and within walking to shopping. We enjoyed our stay and have found Home2Suites to be our go-to when traveling with our family of 5.

Check in was quick and went smoothly. We go up to our room and after about 30 mins, I find a balled up, severely make-up stained face cloth in a bathroom drawer. I’m abhorred and call the front desk to let them know. Demeris at the front desk, paused for about 5 seconds then said something very sarcastic. She didn’t apologize or anything! Didn’t offer to have someone come up and remove the used facecloth from the bathroom either. After we hung up I was getting more and more upset about it so I called back down there. Someone answered and hung up. I called right back. A lady picked up the phone and sighed and said “Yes?” I recognized the lady who answered as the same one I’d spoken to before and asked her name and she said Demeris. I told her that I didn’t appreciate her response to my complaint and that I wanted to speak with a manager. She paused for a bit (again!) and said, well do you want me to have somebody come get it, there’s no manager here. I’m like, Yes!! By this point I am absolutely seething. So I go down to the front desk. No one is there. Finally a lady comes out and I ask to see Demeris. When Demeris comes out, I introduce myself as the guest who found the dirty towel in the bathroom. I told her if a guest complains, the FIRST thing you do is apologize. After some other words, I asked for the managers contact and she gave me his card. I should’ve called. But it was late and I was tired. She needs a refresher course on customer service, Now. Terrible attitude.

Our room was a "Hearing Impaired" room, which I blame myself for, but we attempted to get another room w/a balcony or Ocean view, but we could not. There were 2 young ladies at the Front Desk & one was extremely nice, while the other one looked as though she didn't understand what "Customer Service" meant. The "Friendly" Rep said that we could try back the following day before 11 & we could quite possibly be able to get an Ocean view. I called the next morning & the young lady who answered placed me on hold for only a few minutes, unlike the young lady the previous day, & returned to say there was nothing available. We spent our days with a view of tiny homes. The best thing as it relates to the Continental Breakfast, were the Waffles, which you make yourself. With the price of the rooms being high (and we've stayed in Galveston several times over the years), every view should be Ocean. We were told that "if we booked through them next time, we would pay more, but we would get more" There will not be a next time.
