La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham-Red Oak TX IH-35E
4/10 Poor
"AC does not work properly and shut off middle of nights. Bathroom shower does not work and water does not drain from tub. This is not a recommended location. "
"First night I got there the towels had stains on them and didn’t notice till I had put them on my body. Then the second day I came back from the racetrack and saw that the door to my room was standing wide open. No housekeeping staff anywhere so not for sure how long it had been opened. The manager can’t be reached until 3 days after I arrive home. I left on the 2nd day of a 3 day stay since the hotel was apparently not a safe place to keep my belongings or possibly myself. "
"2 queen room stay. 1 bed was gross with lots of hair in the sheets. Couch was worn out and filthy. Lamp shades were beyond worn out.
Breakfast was good.
Staff was nice. "
"Hotel is overall okay, located off the beating path but right next to restaurants and grocery stores. Price was great and the staff were wonderful. Where this hotel struggles is with it's age - rooms were clean and comfy, but the new coat of pain couldn't quite cover the stains on the couch, lamps, and walls or the broken furniture. Nothing was gross or unsafe, just very heavily used. Pool was in rough shape and the breakfast was the most mediocre I've had in a while. Overall good stay and no tegrets on the accommodation."
"Room was not cleaned properly. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, in the shower, in the sheets. Staff was worrried about ordering their dinner instead of checking us in. We were told the hot tub would be up and running when we stayed. It was not open. There's only a washer and dryer on floor 2 and 3 so i had to keep going back and forth between the floors to do laundry. The breakfast was fully stocked but the cook bagged up trash with gloves on and went back to cooking the food with the same gloves on. We went to the front to ask about laundry and there was a pregnant woman who answered us rudely. I'm pretty sure she's the manager. I wouldn't stay again. Oh and the walls are paper thin. The kids in the room next to us were literally screaming and running around until 2am and we couldn't sleep. "
