"Location was okay, although don't stay by the road if you're a light sleeper. Traffic noise is loud enough to hear at night. Room was clean just a bit stale and stuffy. Ask for extras towels and pillows as they are thin and flat. Hallways smelled of recreational smoking from some guests so it may not always be this bad. Ice maker worked. Just a cheap basic stay."
"Lady at the front desk checked me in and was there when I checked out. She was the nicest receptionist I've had. I will definitely use this place again."
"We (3 of us) found the Carriage House suite to be very enjoyable and met our needs. Having two sleeping spaces and two bathrooms was a perfect situation for us. The bathrooms were clean and generally updated but the drainage in the main bathroom was quite loud. The main house and breakfast were lovely. We walked the grounds which are lush and green, though in need of some pruning and maintenance. Overall, a very good experience and I would consider staying there again on another trip to Brenham."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had such an amazing stay at the Frenchie! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the main house on the first floor, and the room was absolutely beautiful. The rooms and the entire property are so thoughtfully designed that every space feels photo shoot ready.
It’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway for two, but it would also be so much fun with a group of friends. The location couldn’t be better. We walked everywhere, with great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping all just steps away.
A couple of things to keep in mind: because the main house is historic, you can hear pretty much everything happening in the room above you. It wasn’t a dealbreaker for us, but if you’re a light sleeper, it’s something to be aware of. The other downside was the cost of food and drinks on the property. Cocktails were around $20 or more, which felt a bit expensive.
Overall, it was an incredible stay, and we would absolutely come back. If you’re looking for a beautiful, charming hotel in an unbeatable location, the Frenchie is a fantastic choice."
