"The small hotel is on the first floor. There is no lift but the steps are easy to manage for an aged traveller like myself as there are rails. Our twin room was on the small side but clean and well-maintained and we loved the walk-in shower. Breakfast was good and the staff were a highlight. Garden City is very central and the Uber service inCairo is remarkable in its speedy access and very reasonable pricing."

"Difficult for front desk to understand or communicate in English and there was only one staff member who was English speaking. Water was not supplied in room, nor was coffee or tea. Otherwise the room was large with nice sitting area"

"Our recent stay at Sofitel Cairo Nile El Gezirah was truly exceptional and exceeded all expectations. The location is outstanding, set right on the River Nile with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere despite being in the heart of Cairo. Waking up each day to this setting was a real highlight, especially with the magnificent view from our room where, on a clear day, we could even see the pyramids in the distance. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and highly professional, always going above and beyond with impressive knowledge and attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, all fresh and beautifully presented. The hotel throughout was spotless—very clean, tidy, and extremely well maintained. The pool area deserves special mention. It was immaculate, with pristine water and surrounding areas that were exceptionally well kept, clean, and tidy. It provided the perfect place to relax and unwind by the Nile. Dining at Kebabgy was a highlight, with outstanding, authentic food. A special mention also goes to the team at Club Millésime Lounge for their exceptional service, afternoon tea, drinks, and snacks. A memorable stay—we would highly recommend it."
