ANT INFESTATION at Molo Hotel. Filthy, dirty, unsanitary, unethical hotel unwilling to take responsibility for its cleanliness.
My elderly mother and I spent one night here after moving from the Hotel Rezydent next door, since it had no vacancies that night. We carried our suitcases across the sidewalk, left them zipped in our room, and returned in the evening. We found ants crawling all over the night tables and beds (far from our zipped suitcases). We called to switch rooms but none were available and it was too late to switch hotels.
In the morning we submitted the facts, along with pictures and videos, asking for a refund due to our sleepless night. We were told that an “investigation” would take place.
A few days later I received a response from hotel marketing stating the ants were our fault, and Molo Hotel takes no blame! They claim the ants were brought in our suitcases. Yet we had not seen ants prior to staying there, and stayed the previous two nights at the Hotel Rezydent ant free. And have not seen ants since that night.
The worst experience I’ve ever encountered traveling.The lack of customer care is appalling and insulting, and speaks to the lack of integrity, ethical responsibility, and basic hygiene. I can appreciate that unanticipated events can arise, but cannot believe the lack of responsibility and customer service in handling this. The hotel has ignored my further communication.
Stay at the Hotel Rezydent across the street please.
