"The Comfort Inn at Colby, KS is new and well maintained. But, what sets it apart is the staff. DJ Easter, the manager at the front desk, was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about where to get dinner. Marlowe was one of the people preparing the breakfast, and very an enjoyable conversationalist. Our being early didn’t upset her in the least. Isabella served as breakfast preparer and at the front desk. I needed a stamp, and she searched until she found one, then offered to mail my postcard. People like these certainly enhance one’s stay at a hotel. Thank you."
"This days inn was nice. Staff was great at check in; friendly, unfortunately the morning crew wasn't as friendly. The room was good, everything was fine. Needs were comfy, we slept good."
"We’ve stayed here before and this time was great also. Tiny downside was we were gone from room all morning and until 230, came back to property and housekeeper was getting g ready to clean. We went downstairs and sat in lobby for nearly an hour, came back up and she had skipped our room and was working down the hall. Since we needed the room, I just asked her if I could get some towels and coffee packets and told her not to bother. We needed a nap before heading out again later. It would have been nice if we had come back to cleaned and stocked room, but we made it work. Breakfast was great!"
"Let me just say Bates Motel type vibe. First off. The place looks abandoned from the outside. The driveway is miserable the signage is poor and the windows in the front of the building are broken out. If thats not enough to deter you, inside the lobby smells like theres enough potpourri to cover dead body stench. The staff didnt say hello or welcome he came out and said just my name. That shows how few people stay... he knew me by name. That was the extent of my stay. I said something came up and I wasnt going to stay in Colby anymore. I did end up staying across the street in a much much nicer place. I was NOT about to take my belongings and my 4mo daughter into this abandond creepy place. -10 out of 0."
"The motel is outdated. I closed the door on my room and there was light all around the door no seal. Breakfast was poor one day had cereal and no milk, cream cheese no bagels, eggs no toast. They have some permanent residents. They put us next to the permanent resident and would be leaving early in the morning to go to work or standing outside the room talking before leaving disturbing our sleep. The parking lot is in need of repair. The motel is also the owners residence. Maybe in a couple of years it would a better place if the do major upgrades. "
